Loreto

Loreto weddings is another option for a  Baja California destination wedding.

Located in Baja California Loreto is on the eastern side and faces the ecologically rich Sea of Cortes. Attractions include fishing, diving, wildlife viewing, sailing and water sports. Loreto has a population of about 10,000 people. Even though at one point Loreto was bound for resort stardom, it has kept a low profile. Loreto is set in a remote location in a village setting and surprisingly it has a great historic past. Loreto still has mostly unpaved streets. Its scenic beauty is one of its main attributes. Five deserted islands seem to almost float on the horizon in the cobalt-blue Sea of Cortes, while the towering Sierra La Giganta mountains climb up behind the villages. Beaches in Loreto are somewhat rocky but have calm, clear water ideal for boating, sailing, kayaking, water skiing, and wind-surfing. Ecotourism adventures are also very popular. World class sport fishing remains the area’s major draw. Loreto is also home to one of Mexico’s finest tennis centers, and now offers a fine 18-hole seaside golf course. There are many sight seeing tours that are offered. Some of the hot tourist spots include Mision de Nuestra Senora De Loreto, deserted island exploration, Pimer Aua, cave paintings, San Javier Mission, Mulege, Santa Rosalia, and San Ignacio. Enjoy your trip back to historic Mexico.
